Hindumitra Foundation
Hindumitra Foundation evolved organically over several years, rooted in a deep understanding of both modern science and Sanatana Dharma. Dr. Malladi Srinivasa Sastry, a full-time psychiatrist and practitioner of Sanatana Dharma, recognized the harmonious balance between science and spirituality—much like Ardhanārīśvara, where two dimensions coexist in perfect unity.
With a vision to bring a holistic approach to health, education, lifestyle, and worldview, he initiated webinars and workshops on the practical application of Sanatana Dharma through programs such as:
* “Bring Out the Best in You – The Sanatana Dharma Way”
* “Sohamvidya Series: Discover Yourself & Discover Your Inner Potential”
As these interactive and practical initiatives gained momentum, the need for a structured grassroots movement became evident.
Thus, Hindumitra began in 2021, and was later formally registered as Hindumitra Foundation (NGO).
Inspired by Nārada Maharshi, regarded as the Ādi Hindumitra, the foundation nurtures individuals into counsellors, leaders, and committed practitioners of Dharma, guided by its core mantra:
“Understand, Practice, and Declare Your Sanatana Dharma for the welfare of yourself, your family, society, and the world.”
Core Philosophy
The concept of Hindumitra is designed for every Gṛhastha, encouraging each individual to take responsibility for the protection and propagation of Dharma.
Each Hindumitra contributes at least 3 hours per week, engaging in one of four roles:
* Dharma Vidyarthi (Learner)
* Dharma Sevaka (Volunteer)
* Dharma Bodhaka (Teacher)
* Dharma Margadarshaka (Guide)
This ensures a balanced ecosystem of learning, service, teaching, and leadership.
